Check out my latest article: "How to do a house blessing".  It's on my blog.  It's such a wonderful way to uplift your space.

Tidying your home brings so much value...

      Improve your health.

An unkempt home is stressful.  In an study from the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin (Saxbe and Respetti, 2009) researchers found that women who used words like "clutter" and "unfinished" to describe their homes had less healthy levels of cortisol, a hormone released during stress, as opposed to women who described their homes as restful and who used nature-like words to describe their homes.  For more on this, click here.

Be a more confident and resilient version of yourself.

Periods of major transition such as a break-up, divorce, the death of a loved one, retirement, moving, and parenthood are a perfect time for an evaluation of our personal space.  Purging our belongings breaks us out of our normal routine. Research suggests that we have an average of 60,000 thoughts per day and quite possibly 95% of them are repetitious (Huffington Post, 2005).  Therefore, a break in our "normal" is the opportunity for new, empowering insights. Tidying the home is like a welcome mat for resilience and confidence.

Save money and buy with a purpose.

When money is respected, it is spent more purposefully.  Spending from our highest intentions is reflected by the items in our personal spaces.

     Live life to the fullest.

At no other time on the planet have we lived in such comfort, so there’s no excuse for not going after your dreams.  By creating a home that supports you, the path will be clear!
